the state.
____
J. F. Holmes has had 50 years experience in welding and
blacksmithing and really knows how. He was born in Marshall, Texas, in
1875. He moved to Hamilton and has been engages in business here ever
since 1907. His sons, Frank and Orville Holmes are associated with him in
this business and are also expert craftsmen.
Last October this enterprising firm opened in connection
with their blacksmith shop a first class Automobile Repair Department and
placed Mr. Morton Agee in charge of same.
This is the most complete and efficient welding plant in
this section and enjoys a large patronage on account of the fact that it
turns out work of first class, gets it done when promised, and that the
charge is reasonable.
Mr. Holmes realized, when starting in his business, that
it was necessary to equip his plant completely so he is a position to do
both Oxy-Acetylene and electric welding. This serviced is a great
accommodation to the people such as autoists, manufacturers, and farmers.
In fact everybody has found the work not only to be executed correctly,
and that the part will be as strong, if not stronger, than originally, be
welded at a much less cost than the price of a new part and that it can be
done in a short time, thus saving the public endless delay in ordering new
parts
In charge is a welding craftsman of unusual skill and
ability and his work has received the commendation of everybody. No matter
what may be broken you should take it to this shop and Mr. Holmes can tell
you what can be done. If for any reason it cannot be repaired or is not
worth the cost of repair, he will tell you.
Mr. Holmes’ business is the oldest business in
Hamilton.
In this Historical and Trade Expansion Edition of the
News we suggest that you call on Mr. Holmes when needing anything in the
