Rolen Ogle, 78, died April 8 at his home in Comanche. Funeral services were held April 12 at Pearl Street Church of Christ in Comanche with Minister Gerald Stockstill officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco.
He was born June 9, 1925 in Crosbyton, the son of Charlie Clinton Ogle and Ollie (Hawkins) Ogle. He was a farmer and rancher and a member of Pearl Street Church of Christ in Comanche. Mr. Ogle was a veteran and served in the United States Army during World War II.
He was married to Delores Penn on April 30, 1967 in Abilene. She preceded him in death on Dec. 26, 1990.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Troy Westbrook of Cisco; a son, Lewis McGough of Clyde; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Gary Mosley of Buffalo Gap; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Wes and Odell Ogle of Monahans; a brother and sister-in-law, Oma "Bud" and Peggy Ogle of Llano and a brother, W.C. Ogle of Hosington, Kan.

E. E. “Jr.” Ohnmeiss, 77, died Nov. 10, 2003 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas. Funeral services will be held Nov. 13 at Dodson Funeral Home Chapel with Reid Schaub officiating. Burial will be at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery near Evant.
He was born on April 5, 1926 in Williamsport, PA, the son of Ellery Ohnmeiss and the former Susan Florey. He was married to Mavis
D. Renken on Feb. 17, 1946 in Hamilton. Mr. Ohnmeiss attended Girard College in Philadelphia, graduating in 1943. He then went to Penn State for a year and then into the military.
He had lived in Lampasas since 1954, serving on the Lampasas City Council for 33 years. He was also a member of the Lions Club, Amvets where he was a Provost Marshal. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a sister, two brothers and a daughter, Susan.
Survivors include his wife, Mavis D. Ohnmeiss of Lampasas, a daughter, Mary Atherton and husband Woody of Gatesville; a daughter, Dr. Donna Ohnmeiss of Plano; a son, John Ohnmeiss and wife Elizabeth of Lampasas; grandchildren, Celia and Joel Wayne Sellers; great-grandchildren, Cheynne and Wyatt Sellers of Jonesboro. Susan Ohnmeiss of Lampasas died on March 11 at Rollins-Brook Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
Services were conducted, March 14 at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel. Miss Ohnmeiss was born December 15, 1948 in Hamilton, the daughter of
E. E. (Junior) and Mavis Renken Ohnmeiss of Lampasas. She lived in Hamilton until 1953 when the family moved to Lampasas. She graduated as valedictorian from Lampasas High School in 1967. After attending Central Texas College in Killeen, Miss Ohnmeiss graduated from Tarleton State University with a major in European history and minor in American history and English. She was recognized as the outstanding history student at Tarleton’s parents’ day in 1971. She returned to Tarleton to become certified in secondary and elementary education. Miss Ohnmeiss taught second grade in Lampasas for 28 years.
Survivors include her parents E.E. (Junior) and Mavis Renken Ohnmeiss of Lampasas; two sisters, Mary Atherton of Gatesville and Dr. Donna D. Ohnmeiss of Plano; one brother, John T. Ohnmeiss of Lampasas; a niece Celia Sellars of Jonesboro; a great-niece Cheyenne Sellars and a great nephew Wyatt of Jonesboro. Miss Ohnmeiss was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charlie Renken and Winnie Angermann Renken.

OLIVER, MARTHA LENORE (HEDGPETH)

Martha Lenore Oliver, 66, of Mimbres, N.M., died
Sunday, Jan. 17 at the home of her daughter in Anthony.
Services were Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Bright Funeral
Home with Pastors David Oliver and Rod Chandler officiating. Burial was in
Memory Lane Cemetery.
Mrs. Oliver was born April 8, 1932, in Hamilton, the
daughter of Buster and Annabelle Baker Hedgpeth. She was married to Don
Curtis Oliver on June 30, 1950, in Lovington, N.M. They were a ranching
family and moved to Mimbres in the early 1960s. They were founding members
of Rio Mimbres Baptist Church where she served as church pianist and
Sunday School teacher. She also taught piano lessons for many years. She
loved sports and played volleyball, tennis and baseball.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a
brother, Valton Hedgpeth.
Survivors include her husband, Don Curtis Oliver of
Mimbres; two sons, Jimmy Oliver and wife Stephanie of Silver City, N.M.,
and Jackie Oliver of Anna; a daughter, Lee Ann Bray and husband Buddy of
Anthony; twin brothers, Coy Hedgpeth and wife Lorraine of Odessa and Roy
Hedgpeth and wife Sharon of Houston; four grandchildren, Dustie and T.J.
Oliver of Silver City and Katie and Steven Bray of Anthony; and numerous
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers were Cary Hartman, Coy Hartman, Mike
Vaughan, Mark Osborn, Ken Rose and Otis McClanahan.
O'NEAL, ERNEST D.

Ernest D. O’Neal, 98, died in the Canteberry Villa in
Stephenville on August 20, 2004. Funeral services were held Aug. 22 in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton with burial following in O’Neal Cemetery at Moline in Lampasas County.
He was born Oct. 7, 1905 in Lampasas County, the son of Dave Tom O’Neal and Susanna Baker O’Neal.
After completing high school he attended John Tarleton College now known as Tarleton State University in
Stephenville and Daniel Baker College, now Howard Payne University in Brownwood. He loved education and continued to learn while he worked as a school teacher for 41 years. On May 8, 1930 he was married to Leona Alice Tubbs at Goldthwaite. For a number of years they owned and
operated a grocery store. She preceded him in death in 1972.
He made his home in Evant for a number of years and he was active in the senior center in Hamilton enjoying the fel-lowship with others.
As he grew in age he moved to Duffau to be with his son Ernest Jr. Needing rehabilitation after spending some time in the hospital, he entered Canteberry Villa in Stephenville where he made friends and loved associating with his peers and lived there until his death.
Mr. O’Neal is also preceded in death by one son, David McClain O’Neal; six sisters and two brothers. He is survived by one daughter, Sue Henry of Bowie; one son, Ernest D. O’Neal Jr. of Duffau; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great- grandchildren.

OTTER, LAMBERT

Lambert Otter, age 72, of McGregor died Sunday, Jan. 9. Funeral services were held Jan. 12 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel in McGregor with Rev. David Thompson officiating. Burial followed in McGregor Cemetery.
Mr. Otter was born Jan. 30, 1932 in McGregor, the son of Albert and Hilda Sophia (Wiedemann) Otter and was a 1951 graduate of McGregor High School.
He was married to Christine Wells in McGregor on Nov. 8, 1958. He served his country in the United States Army from 1952 to 1964 when he was honorably discharged as a corporal.
For 45 years he was service manager for the Ford Dealerships in McGregor, retiring in 1993 from Town West Ford. He continued his mechanic skills as owner and operator of Lambert Auto Repair for the next 10 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and attended College Avenue Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by a son, Randy Wayne Otter, two sisters, Alice Cummins, Polly Otter and a brother, Robert Earl Otter.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Christine Otter of McGregor; one son, Larry Otter and wife Regina of McGregor; a daughter, Sherri Grubbs and her husband, Kenneth of Robinson; two brothers, Raymond Otter of Lynn, Mass., Billy Otter of Cleburne; seven sisters, Rita Carroll of Arlington, Mary Otter of Ardmore, Okla., Marilyn Tibbitt of Taylor, Betty Kunze of Ferron, Utah, Doris Sonnier of Lafayette, La., Barbara Denton of Starke, Fla., Carol Hankins of Thrall; three grandchildren, Tyler Grubbs, Jeremy Grubbs and Lance Otter.
Pallbearers were Clifford Bartels, Ed Fehler, Steve Hankins, Melvin Hill, Ed Maedgen and James Schmalriede. Honorary pallbearers were Tom Kirk and Bill Tracy.
The family has designated the American Cancer Society for memorial contributions.
