PORFA

Porfa was the Cotton Belt siding or switch line about three miles southeast of  Hamilton -- between Hamilton and Blue Ridge, and between FM 1241 and FM 932.   Also at this site was the County Farm.  The County of Hamilton purchased this farm (about 1888-1891) from James Monroe Chambliss.
