[CHARLES CURTIS BAKER, SR., DDS]

Dr. Baker was born in Dallas County, and came to Hamilton in 1879. While still a young man he went to Baltimore and spent two years in the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, graduating there. He then returned to Hamilton and has been engaged in his profession here since. He and his son, Dr. C. C. Baker, Jr., now (1938) have offices in Hamilton, Hico, Gatesville, Lometa, and Goldthwaite.

Dr. Baker is also a graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry. He spent some time in 1936 in a dental laboratory at New Orleans.

Dr. Baker is a life-time Republican, was a member of the state executive committee for many hears, has attended all state conventions since he was a young man, and has attended many national conventions. He has never asked for nor held a federal job in his life.

Dr. and Mrs. Baker, the former Miss Alma Nicholson, still live at their old home here in Hamilton, where they raised their family. Their son lives near them, one daughter, Mrs. Brent Witty, lives nearby, and the other daughter, Mrs. Otto Rea, lives about a mile from town.
