O. P. BEATTY (1897)

Mr. Beatty was born in Missouri in 1852, came to Texas in 1879, and settled near Fairy in Hamilton County. In 1894 he was elected by the populist vote to the office of county tax assessor, and war re-elected in 1896. The Herald of 1897 praised him as an unusually efficient officer.
