JOHN M. LIVINGSTON  --1897

Mr. Livingston, one of the most widely-known ranchmen of his time in this section, was born in Bastrop County in 1857. He came to Hamilton in 1861. He lived in the old Uel Livingston ranch four miles east of town, and later purchased a tract of land on the Twin Mountain flat about 10 miles northeast of town.

Mr. Livingston was the father of Bud Livingston, well-known in Hamilton now.
