JOHN L. SPURLIN  --1897

John L. Spurlin, in 1897, was the business manager of the mercantile house of William Maxwell and president of the Hamilton-Hico Telephone Company. He had at that time about 10,000 acres of land for sale in Hamilton, Bosque, and Coryell Counties.

His son, John Spurlin, now (1938) lives in Waco.
