MANY GERMANS SETTLED EARLY IN THIS COUNTY

In 1897 there were about 400 Germans in Hamilton County, counted as the most prosperous group of people in the county. They were skillful farmers. Many of them and their descendants still live and prosper here. Prominent among them were Fritz [Friedrich W.], A. D. [Adolph D.] , and A. C. Schrank.
