SHOWING THE WEST SIDE OF HAMILTON SQUARE ABOUT THE YEAR 1900

Here is a street scene in Hamilton taken about he turn of the century [1900].  The west side of the square is shown.  The stone building on the extreme right end is the oldest business house now standing in Hamilton.  The ground floor of the building is now occupied by Stanley Moore, the upper story is the I. O. O. F. hall, and the large basement under the bujilding was formerly a saloon.  [This building stood until about 1976 when it collapsed one December evening.  The last occupant was Hogue Williams' Furniture and Hardware Store.]
