Salem Baptist Church, organized prior to September, 1881, was
located in Coryell County sixteen miles west of Gatesville on the
Gatesville-Brownwood Road. Its address was Cove (Evant), Coryell
County. Salem petitioned for membership in the Hamilton
County Baptist Association in September, 1881. Salem disappeared
from HCBA minutes by 1901.
