Shive Baptist Church was admitted to the Hamilton County Baptist Association on 24 August, 1938. Early pastors were Marvin Kemp, 1938; . and E. R. Ingrim, 1941. Church clerk in 1938 was Mrs. J. C. Moreland. Messengers to the annual association 1938 were Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Houck, Mr. and Mrs. William Howard Pearce. Shive Baptist Church disbanded after 1942.
