UNION SCHOOL was formed after 1911 when Leesville and Little Cowhouse Schools merged. In 1924-25 Frank Burns, Houston White, and R. K. Arnett were members of the school board and the teachers were Miss Myrtle Blansit and Miss Charlie McKinley. Teachers at Union in 1936 were William Jennings Harris, principal; Lester Roberts, Winnie Hampton, and Ruby Lee Anderson.
