WARREN’S CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH
was founded in 1876. Four times it was admitted to the Hamilton
County Baptist Association--25 July, 1879, 11 August, 1909, 8
September, 1950, and 6 September, 1956. Warrens Creek Baptist Church
was excluded from Hamilton County Baptist Association on 4
September, 1952.
On 6 Sept., 1956, Rev. C. N. Gilbert,
pastor of First Baptist Church, Hamilton, made a motion that "Warren’s
Creek be recognized as a sister church..." His motion carried, thus
Warren’s Creek was again part of HCBA.
The church disbanded on 23 June, 1996. Warren’s Creek
Baptist Church was located on HWY 36 north of Gentrys
Mill and near the Comanche County line. The address of Warren’s
Creek Baptist Church in July, 1879, was Boynton, Comanche County.
Reports were not sent from this church during the years 1881 through 1908.
The church building still stands on the south side of HWY 36 about seven
miles west of Hamilton.

$1.00.
