MY FOSTER FAMILY
There is a lot of controversy as to when and from where this Foster family family originated. I believe that an Edward Foster emigrated from Ireland to New York before 1750. He worked for or was part of the Johnson Plantation in New York. He moved to Canada during the Revolutionary War. Peter Foster, his grandson, moved from Canada to Ohio about 1838. Peter married Susanna Consul. they moved to Michigan and then on to Wisconsin. After the Civil War the family moved back to Michigan.
As always this is a work in progress.
