Family Bible of Peter Umstot
The following is transcribed from a copy of the original bible page which was written in German. The copy I hold is an english translation. My thanks to E. Periman for sharing this with me. I also found a copy in the Keyser Public Library.
In the year 1772, the 31st of December, God blessed us with a son. His name is Peter.
In the year 1774, God blessed us with a son on the 18th of May. His name is Jacob.
In the year 1781, God blessed us with a son. His name is Philip. He was born July 31.
In the year 1783, God blessed us with a son. His name is Abraham, born August 28.
In the year 1787, God blessed us with a son born July 18, the hay month, in the morning between 8 and 9 o'clock. His name is Conrad.
In the year 1794, August 3, in the morning between 3 and 4 o'clock, God blessed us with a son. His name is John.
