I Hannah Bovard of the Borough of West Pittston, County of Luzerne and State of Pennsylvania do make and publish this my last will and testament. I will that after my decease my just debts and funeral charges be paid by my Executrix hereinafter mentioned as soon after my decease as she shall deem convenient. Note:
In 1854 Mary's sister Hannah Bovard, purchased property in West Pittston. John and Mary lived with her, and their children were all born there. The house was called the "Bonstein Homestead". Hannah willed the property to the Bonstein's on her death in 1871, and the home was in the possession of the Bonstein family until 1952. A "Century House Plaque" is attached to the building.
John settled in West Pittston, PA where he owned and operated a tailor ship. Mary Jane Bovard, who later became his wife, was a seamstress in the shop. She was from Muncy, PA

William A. Bovard is shown as residing at 1313 Holmes Street in the 1900 Census. This coincides with the information Jack Bovard heard as to where W.R.Bovard was born in 1885. Sometime between 1900 & 1912 the Bovard family moved to 6001 E 12th St. Kansas City, MO. This information comes from a remark made by W. R. Bovard about riding the horse drawn trolley out 12th St to get home from work with his Father.

James served in the Continental Line during the Revolutionary War, having been a private in James Kilgore's Company of the 8th Pennsylvania Reg't., 1776-77. James lived for a time in West Pennsborough Twp., Cumberland Co, and in Hempfield Twp in Westmoreland Co, PA.
