Milan resident dies at Winfield

Miss Elizabeth Hord, 85, of Milan died at 6:26 a.m. Monday at the Newton Memorial Hospital at Winfield where she had been a patient for five days. She was admitted to the hospital from Rest Haven nursing home where she had been residing for the past 18 months.

She was born July 20, 1879, in Summer Shade, Ky., and had been a resident of Wellington most of her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Milan.

Survivors include a cousin, C. T. Bowles, Twin Falls, Idaho.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Milan Church of Christ. The Rev. Arnett Lowder will officiate. Burial will be in Praire Lawn cemetery. Hatfield Funeral Home, Belle Plaine, is in charge.
