My full name is Patricia Howard-Chittams and I am a mother of four, (15, 10, 4, 4), wife of Ralph J. Chittams, Sr. and a stay at home Mom. My genealogy search is for the following names COLE, CARTER, CHEATHAM, CHITTAMS, WILLIAMS, BUTLER, ALLEN, HOWARD. Most of my search is located in Richmond, Lambsburg, VA, Washington, DC, Harrisburg, and Pittsburgh, PA.
My Brick Wall I am searching for a copy of a newspaper that was published in Harrisburg, PA sometime in the early part of the century. The paper was called the Advocate-Verdict. It was published by the Dougless Co-operative Company and my Great-Grandfather W. Justin Carter was the President. I know for certain that he was president in 1910. I haven't been able to locate a copy yet, even though I went to the Library of Congress, they don't have a copy.

JUNIOR LEAGUER TO WED
Miss Armenter Cheatham
Daughter of Mrs. John William CHEATHAM who has chosen Thursday, September 1
as the date of her marriage to William Justin CARTER, Jr. of Reading, PA, son
of Mr. and Mrs. W. Justin CARTER, of Harrisburg. The ceremony will be
performed at 7:30 o'clock in the St. Paul's Methodist Episcopal Church,

Miss CHEATHAM has for some time been associated with progressive, civic and
social groups where her executive ability and natural leadership have made
her services invaluable. Coupled with charm of personality, Miss CHEATHAM

Miss CHEATHAM goes the credit for much of the success achieved socially at
the national meeting of the NAACP, here last year as well as for that of this
year's National Urban League conference to which Pittsburgh was host.
Mr. CARTER, who is one of the most promising attorneys in Reading as well as
being a member of Harrisburg's oldest families is a graduate of Howard
University and the Dickinson School of Law and a member of the Omega Psi Phi
fraternity.
The wedding party will be announced in next week's issue as will the final
details which Miss CHEATHAM will reveal at that time.
