Proposed: Thomas Bachelor, married Mary Adams July 20, 1806. Thomas was an ag labourer and was buried Wimborne St. Giles, Dorest, 26 April 1860 age 77, making his birth about 1783. He is probably Mary Ann�s father. Following Thomas� death, Mary, who was born about 1784, lived with the Philpotts in Gussage St. Michael�s. Mary Ann had a brother (or cousin?) sign marriage register (X) William Batchelor, a Caroline Bachelor may be a sister. Rideout children were with the family on one census. The know Bachelor children are:
1. 1802-1812, many records are missing. There was a William Bachelor bapt. about Feb. 1807, no parents listed??????
2. Matilda Bachelor, bapt. St. Giles August 6,1815, died at the age of 19 on June 6 1834 (born about 1813)
3. Caroline, bapt. 13 Dec, 1817, St. Giles, Dorset.
4. Abel, bapt. June 29, 1823, St. Giles, Dorset. Married Sarah _____ and had children: William
5. Mary Ann, bapt. August 20, 1826. She married Henry Nathaniel Philpott; see Philpott files.�our line.

Joseph Batchelor, died June 31, 1857, 1yr 2m.
Joseph Batchelor married Caroline Spencer 17 June 1817. They had these children: Charles, July 26, 1818; Henry, 1820.
