The following is a synopsis:
JACOB CONRAD, son of Jean Jacob Conrad, and Magdalena a born Emy (?) was born on the 3 Apr 1800 at Mieteshiem, County of Niederbrenn, District of Wisembourg, State of Bas Rhin, Kingdom of France, Europe, he was baptized in his infancy and confirmed his baptismal vow when 14 years old under Pastor Gager. On the 12 Oct 1828 he was married to Miss Elizabeth, a daughter of Jacob Lowenguth and Margareth Goelling. In this state of matrimony the following children were born viz. 1. Jacob; 2. George; 3. Frederick; 4. Caroline; 5. Cathrine.
In 1838 he emigrated with his family to America, and on the 26 Aug 1856 his wife Elizabeth died.
On the 26 Dec 1856 he was by Pastor Konradi married to Miss Elisabeth Dorothea Cathrine, a daughter of William Frederick Klein. She was born on the 12 Oct 1828 at Nellington, County (Oberamt) Esslingen, Kingdom of Wurtemberg. The following children were born, viz. 1. William Frederick; 2. Henry

William Conrad, 78, who was laid to rest today in Loudonville, was a native of that village and had been sheriff of Ashland county. He began his political career as marshal of Loudonville.
He died while visiting in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Kick, of Mansfield.

Loudonville - Mrs.Hazel I. Snively, 66 died yesterday morning at Maumee, where she had been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Glenna Zimmerman.
Mrs. Snively was the daughter of Henry and Celesta Bigner Conrad. She was born July 21, 1888, near Loudonville and had lived in this vicinity all her life. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical and Reform Church, Hanover Grange, Eagles Auxiliary, and the Navy Mothers Club.
Surviving are her husband, Charles; three daughters, Mrs. Zimmerman, Mrs. Beulah Morr, both of Ashland and Mrs. Florence Heffelfinger, of Columbus; four sons, Guy and Edgar, both of Loudonville, Floyd, of Perrysville, and Leland, with the navy at Jacksonville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Golda Thomas, of Loudonville, and Mrs. Pear1 Frank, of Shreve; and five brothers, Ernest, Earl, Will1am, Harry and Glenn Conrad, all of Loudonville.

Charles A. Snively, secretary of the local Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 2275, left Tuesday for Miami Beach, Fla., Where he will represent the Membership Department of the Grand Aerie.
The Grand Aerie Convention will be held August 3 through 5. Mr. Snively will represent the Ohio State Aerie as a state officer and also the local F.O.E., 2275.
While in Florida he will visit his daughter. Mrs. (George Heffelfinger and family in Orlando and his son, Leland Snively and family of Miami.

27. Obituary; Albert Hugh Conrad 9 Oct 1931. .
Funeral for Albert Hughes Conrad, 36, who died at his home west of here Thursday morning, will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday from the family home in charge of the Schrack Funeral home, Lucas. Burial will be made in the Green lawn cemetery here.
Mr. Conrad. who was a farmer, had lived in Loudonville until 14 years ago when he moved to his farm near Perrysville.
His wife, Edith, died six months ago and the entire family fell victim to typhoid fever and it is believed that Mr. Conrad died as a result of a preventative for the sickness. Seven small children had contracted the disease and had recovered.
Surviving are the children. Margaret; 14, Gerald, Eileen, Kenneth, Gladys, Betty and Henry Richard, the last named being the youngest; his mother, Mrs. Henry Conrad: six brothers, Ernest, Glenn, Williams, Carl, Harry and Dennis; and three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Snively, Mrs. Goldie Thomas and Mrs. Pearl Franks, all of Loudonville.

28. Obituary; Mary Edith McKee. Mary Edith McKee-Conrad was born August 27, 1896, and after a brief illness of one week, was summoned from earth on April 21, 1931. Tthe daughter of Gladys N. and Robert J. McKee. Mrs. Conrad was born near Danville, Knox Co., where her childhood and early youth were passed. She received her education in the schools of that community.
On Dec. 25, 1915 she was united in marriage with Albert H. Conrad. In the year following, they located; in the vicinity of Perrysville and re-sided there at the time of her death. They were the parents of seven children, Margaret, Gerald, Ilene, Kenneth, Gladys, Betty and Richard, all at home. These children together with father and husband, her parents and two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Toms and Mrs. Rheva Hartshorne mourn her loss.
Mrs. Conrad was baptized by her pastor, Rev. Geo. M. Schrack of St. John's Lutheran church. The funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the M. E. church of Perrysville and interment was made in Greenlawn cemetery.

Auto Is Hit By Pennsylvania Train This Morning
Three Perrysville women were killed this morning when the coupe in which they were riding was struck by a westbound Pennsylvania railroad train on the Spring street crossing in Loudonville.
The dead are:

31. Obituary; Kenneth Conrad. Kenneth Conrad, 24, died at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Conrad, north of Loudonville, on the Ashland road, early this morning, after an extended Illness. He had made his home with his uncle and aunt since the death of his parents a number of years ago.
He was a member of the Loudonville Methodist church.
Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Sodam of Loudonville, Miss Betty Conrad of Mansfield, and Mrs. Eileen Bower of Danville; two brothers, Gerald Conrad of Hayesville and Henry Conrad of Cuyahoga Falls; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McKee of Perrysville and Mrs. Henry Conrad of Loudonville, and a number of aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at the Peoples Funeral Home in Loudonville Wednesday at 2 p. m. Rev. R. A. Hall of the Methodist church will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenlawn cemetery in Perrysville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home.

34. Obituary; LauraBConrad. Mrs. Laura B. Conrad, 77, former owner of the Falls PET Shop on Front St. died Monday in Akron City Hospital after a four and one-half month illness.
Born in Waleska, Ga., Mrs. Conrad lived in Cuyahoga Falls for 38 years. She was a registered nurse at Akron City Hospital for 10 years, until retiring in 1945. She and her late husband then opened the pet shop which is now owned by their son Henry.
A graduate of the Cleveland School of Nursing in 1929, she was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, the Pythian Sisters Elm Temple No.500 in Tallmadge, and the Cuyahoga Falls Business and Professional Women's Club. Mrs. Conrad lived at 2516 Seventeenth St. She leaves sister Mrs. Anna M. Sinclair, Cuyahoga Falls; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a. m. Thursday at the McGowan- Reid funeral home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.

Golda E. Thomas was born June 1, 1900, the daughter of Henry and Celestia Bitner Conrad.
She was called from this life on November 30, 1984, having attained the age of eighty-four years.
Her entire life was lived in this area. She was baptized and confirmed at Kaylor Ridge Lutheran Church and has been an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville, Ohio.
She was married to Charles Thomas. Mr. Thomas preceded her in death in 1969.
She is survived by her son, Harry, three grandchildren, a great-grandchild, two step-great-grandchildren, and her sister, Pearl Franks.
Interment will be in the Greenland Cemetery, Perrysville, Ohio.

Pearl C. Franks, 85, of Shreve, died Friday at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Loudonville after a long illness.
She was born Feb. 2, 1902, in Holmes County, and was the daughter of Henry and Celesta Bitner Conrad. Mrs. Franks was a member of Bigelow United Methodist Church. Surviving is one son, Earl Dean Franks of Shreve.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. Franks, on June 1, 1979.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Johnston-Alexander Funeral Home in Shreve with the Rev. Dan Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Loudonville Cemetery . Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m, Sunday in the funeral home.

She was born Jan 26, 1911, in Loudonville and had been a resident of Mansfield most of her life. She was a retired employee of Westinghouse Electric Corp. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Frank Kudika; two step sons, Thomas Kudika of Mansfield and Frank Kudika of Worthington; three brothers, Paul Conrad and Richard Conrad, both of Mansfield and Kenneth Conrad of Travares, Fla.; and three sisters, Mrs. Sara Solomon of Mansfield, Mrs. Lucille Walters of Mansfield and Mrs. Pauline Brendel of Loudonville. MANSFIELD -Margaret Conrad, 86, of 1081 Burkwood Road died Saturday night, Feb. 20, 1999, at Winchester Terrace after a long illness. Mrs. Conrad was born July 6, 1912 in Richland County living here all of her life. She is a retired teacher of the Mansfield School System. Mrs. Conrad was a member of First English Lutheran Church, Mansfield Federation of Women, the Retired Teachers Association, and the Astowela Garden Club. She was a graduate of Ohio State University with a Bachelor Degree in Education, and she was also a graduate of Columbia University with a Masters Degree in Business Education. Beloved wife and mother, she is survived by her husband, Paul Conrad of Mansfield; one son and daughter-in-Iaw, Paul and Suzan Conrad of Mercer Island, WA; a daughter and son-in-Iaw, Rosemary & William Nowak of Lancaster, New York; six grandchildren; and a niece and nephew.

Born August 6, 1916, in Loudonville, she was the daughter of Ray F and Satyra Lewis Poff. She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Loudonville, the Women's Guild of the church and a past member of the Loudonville Eagles.
Survived by her husband, Guy C. Snively, whom she married December 24, 1938; one son, Robert Snively of Loudonville, OH; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Judith) King of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and Mrs. Dave (Mary) Stacy of Loudonville, OH and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Byerly Funeral Home, Loudonville conducted by Rev. Lester Dresch. Burial was in the Loudonville Cemetery, Loudonville, OH. Beulah I. Morr, 86, of Cape Canaveral, Fla., died Wednesday in Merritt Island, Fla., after an extended illness. Mrs. Morr was born May 24, 1912, in Loudonville, the daughter of Charles and Hazel Conrad Snively. She grew up in Loudonville and was a 1930 graduate of Loudonville High School, living many years in Cuyahoga Falls, and moving to Florida in 1973. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Cocoa Beach United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Diana and Robert Luken of Merritt Island, Fla. and Jane Morr of Plymouth, Mich.; two grandchildren; one brother, Leland Snively of Ocala, Fla.; and a sister, Florence Heffelfinger of Orlando, Fla. She was preceded in death her husband, Oscar E. Morr, May 24, 1990. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Loudonville Cemetery . Friends may call from 1 until 2 p.m. Monday in Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Born Sept. 8, 1908, in Ashland County, he was the son of Theodore and Lydia Richards Morr. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Disabled Veterans. A retired printer, Mr. Morr was a member of the Akron Typographical Union. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cocoa Beach, Fla. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1360. He is survived by his wife Beulah Snively Morr; two daughters, Diana Luken of Merritt Island, Fla., and Jane Morr of Plymouth, Mich.; and two grandchildren.

Gerald A. Conrad, 70, of 779-A County Road 30-A, RD 6, Ashland, died at Samaritan Hospital Thursday morning.
He was born in Ashland County June 3, 1918, the son of Albert and Edith McKee Conrad.
He had been employed at Gorman-Rupp in Mansfield for 34 years and was a member of the company's 20th Century Club. He attended Hayesville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Roberts Conrad; and two sisters, Betty Hyatt of Newark and Gladys Sodam of Belleville, Ill.
Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with the Rev. Paul W. Frees officiating. Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery in Hayesville.

67. Obituary; Jane Marie (Conrad) Luzzo 1953-1993. Jane Marie Luzzo (nee Conrad), 39, passed away Feb.27, 1993.
Mrs. Luzzo was born in Akron and resided in the Cuyahoga Falls area her entire life. She was a member of Riverside Christian Assembly Church and had worked as a nurses' aide at Wayside Farm Nursing Home.

LOUDONVILLE -William D. Conrad, 79, of Ohio 3 died Wednesday afternoon, April 21, 1999, in Colonial Manor Health Care Center after a long illness. Mr. Conrad was born August 4, 1919 in Holmes County, the son of William Bryan and Blanche Marie Wise Conrad. He was a 1937 graduate of Loudonville High School and a 46 year employee of The Flxible Co., working in the accounting and payroll department. He was a member of The Flxible Management Club and Loudon Post 257 American Legion. He was a member and past treasurer of Zion Lutheran Church. He was a US Army Air Corps veteran of World-War II.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Workman Conrad, whom he married September 28, 1945; son and daughter-in- law, Steven and Beth Conrad of Loudonville; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Stan Pattison of Batavia, OH; 3 grandchildren: Cory, Nicholas and Amanda Pattison, all of Batavia; and sisters and brother-in-law, Jean and Lowell House of Mansfield and Betty Adler of Westerville. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 25, at 11 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Terry L. Ruther officiating. Burial will be in Loudonville Cemetery.
