Edward MACEY and his wife Mabel Gladys JOHNSON

there is a lot more information that will be added

Edward is the son of William Edward MACEY and Annie Clarke. The family story said that Edward was born in Frome, Somerset. We have discovered that he was born in Allbrook, Hampshire and this was because William Edward was a brick maker and had moved to Hampshire when the Eastleigh rail yards were being built. A lot of houses were needed for the railway workers and that meant a lot of bricks. This has to be the reason they moved to Rogerstone - the railway sidings at Rogerstone were huge and there were a lot of men employed there - more housing needed
