Roland GILLESPIE, Amherst, Virginia, 1780-unknown

I really know nothing at this point about Roland's family, except a few pieces below.

From the census reports, we can guess that Roland was married and had children. If his wife was the same person in the 1810, 1820, and 1830 census, she was born between 1785 and 1790.

Daughter One was born betwen 1805 and 1810.
Daughter Two was born betwen 1805 and 1810. Given that this daughter is not on the 1810 census, I assume she was born in late 1810 or 1811.
Son One was born between 1805 and 1810. Given that this son is not on the 1810 census, I assume he was born in late 1810 or 1811.
Son Two was born between 1811 and 1820.
Son Three was born between 1811 and 1820.
Daughter Three was born between 1816 and 1820. Given that she is not on the 1820 census, she was probably born in late 1820 or 1821.

Not all of this fits, so it is a puzzle. Two of his children may have been Elijah B GILLESPIE and Elizabeth M GILLESPIE, as he appears on wedding records for the two.

In the 1810 census, which is hard to read for Roland, there is one male between the ages of 26 and 44, one female between the ages of 16 and 25 and one female between the ags of 0 and 9.

This would place Roland's year of birth between 1766 and 1784. The older female living with him, who may have been his wife would have been born between 1785 and 1794. The female child would have been born between 1801 and 1810.

The 1820 census, shows in Roland's household, one male between 26 and 44, presumably Roland, with a birth year between 1776 and 1794. There is one female in the house, between the ages of 26 and 44, also born between 1776 and 1794. This places Rolands birthday between 1776 and 1780. If the female is the same person, she would have been born between 1785 and 1794.

There are two males between the ages of 0 and 9, born between 1820 and 1811. There is another male between the ages of 10 and 15, born between 1805 and 1810. There are two females in the house, between the ages of 10 and 15, who were also born between 1805 and 1810.

Two people in the household are listed as working in agriculture.

In the 1830 census, there is one male living in the household, who is between 50 and 59, birth years between 1771 and 1780. Given the above data, Roland was born between 1776 and 1780. The older female in the house was between 40 and 49, placing her year of birth between 1781 and 1790. If this is indeed the same woman, she must have been born between 1785 and 1790.

There is only one child in the house in 1830, a female between the ages of 10 and 14, with a birth year between 1816 and 1820.
