Ginsberg:Max's Family

Our Family

Max was a real character -- everybody agrees about that. Marched to his own drummer. Diabetes is rampant in that family (others as well?). Both Max and Jenny had it; Jenny died of complications as did Max. Both his legs were amputated.

Bertha I barely knew -- she stayed in Iowa and I only remember seeing her once.

Joe, Eddie and Al (fraternal twins) and Reuben all died young (40s/50s?) -- heart disese/diabetes (and without the medical interventions they have today).

My dad (Jack) had the same illnesses but lived as long as he did (82?) because of medical technology I'm sure.

Becky was blind when she died. She and Bertha were both very ill and I don't know how old they were whey they died.

Joe and Becky lived in Milwaukee.

Eddie and Al lived in Green Bay.

Reuben was in Florida. I never met him though I always wanted to. He was the "black sheep" probably most like Max. He traveled extensively, always had big ideas for business ventures all over the world. A character. I know my dad really liked him.
