Louis was born September 24, 1876, and came to Canada as a child with his parents, Raymond and Angelique in 1879. On December 26, 1900 he married Ephigenie Lafreniere at Notre Dame de Lourdes. They had eleven children: Raymond, George, Eva and Antoinette who died in childhood, Cyprien, Yvonne, Clerina, Anna, Adrien, Delphis, and Romeo. Cyprien (born 1904-1971) married Elva Brousseau, their children are: Norman, Lorraine, Laurent and Alexandre. Yvonne (born 1908-), married Paul Thevenot and have twelve children. (See Thevenot). Clerina (born 1911) married Jack Harper. They moved to the States. Anna (born 1913), married Louis Thevenot and raised nine children. (See Thevenot). Adrien (born 1916) married Marie Guogen. They have five children: Cecile, Gerry, Ann-Louise, Denis and Philipp. This family moved to California. Delphis (born 1917) married Charmaine Beau-bien. Their children are: Marilyn, Lorne and Elaine. Romeo (born 1921) married Jean Grawchuk. Their children are: Raymond, Jo-Anne and Rodney. This family lives In Winnipeg. Louis Girouard died on September 18, 1971. Eghigenie died on January 30, 1944. They are buried at Somerset.
