ABOUT MONTGOMERY CO., PA, "LENHARTS"

Note: Montgomery Co. was formed from Philadelphia Co. in 1784.

Lenhart researcher Robert L. Riffle found two historical sketches related to the subject family while researching Christina Magdalena Leonhardt (see LENHART LINES); however, Christina was in America long before the subject and there is no known relationship. There is also no known relationship between the subject line and Oliver Lenhardt (b. abt. 1866) who lived in Montgomery Co., PA., ca. 1900. Oliver's father John Lenhardt was born about 1824 in Hesse Darmstadt (the family was in Lancaster Co., PA, in the 1880 census). A few other Montgomery Co., PA, Lenharts are mentioned by Riffle in a post to the RootsWeh Lenhart list in 2001; most of the post concerns Christina but other Lenharts (including the subject family) are mentioned. This post may be found in the list archives - Rlriffle54[@]aol.com, Saturday, November 10, 2001 7:54 PM, LENHART-L[@]rootsweb.com, [LENHART] Christina Magdalena Leonhardt ( how to locate archives).

Neither Riffle nor GKBopp is known to be related to any Montgomery Co., PA, Lenhart lines.
