About a dozen different individuals or families bearing the name of Lenhart came from Germany to Pennsylvania prior to the Revolutionary War, but it is not known if they were at all related. Records show that they settled in both eastern and western Pennsylvania.
Of the several Lenhart families found in eastern Pennsylvania, two settled in what is now Berks County. In addition to the Johan Peter Lenhart who settled in 1749, concerning whose family this history is written, there was a Michael Länhart who arrived in 1767 and was warranted land in Berks County in 1768. Probably he was the father of the Casper Leonhard, born on Oct. 15, 1759 in Obenrusten, Germany, who died in 1814 at Hamburg, Berks County, and is buried at the latter place. Casper Leonhart left a widow Anna and sons John and Martin. It is not known if these sons had descendants, as no further records of them or descendants have been found.
This history of the family of Johan Peter Lenhart is not complete. The objective of the work done was the tracing of one of the branches of the family, but so much information was obtained that its presentation seemed to be justified. Accordingly, this history is offered as a basis on which more extensive work may be carried out by those directly interested.

Descendants of Heinrich Lenhart (125)
THE FIRST GENERATION
Johan Peter Lenhart, 1708-1774
Johan Peter Lenhart, the first of this family in Berks and York Counties, Pennsylvania, arrived at Philadelphia on the ship "Two Brothers" and on Sept. 15, 1748 swore allegiance1 to the King of England. He was accompanied by his wife Maria Margaretha and a number of children. He signed the register "Johann Petter Lenhart" and so was able to read and write --- an ability shared by the minority in those days.
Following a route taken by many of the early German settlers, Peter Lenhart soon settled in what is now Berks County, for on Mar. 9, 1749 there was surveyed a tract of land of 25 acres warranted2 to him. This land then formed a part of Philadelphia County, as it was not until 1752 that Berks County was formed. From this early purchase of land it appears that Peter Lenhart possessed at least some means.
On Jan. 30, 1750 a son Johan Peter was born3 to Peter and Margaretha Lenhart in their new home in Greenwich Twp., Berks County; and on Mar. 7, 1752 another son, Frederick, was baptized3 there. In 1752 Peter Lenard was included in the first list of taxable residents4 of Greenwich Twp., and in 1758 he and his wife Margaretha acted as sponsors at the baptism3 of their grandson Johan Peter (113), son of their son Philip (11).
Between 1758 and 1767 Peter Lenhart moved to York County, for in 1767 he was not a resident of Greenwich Twp.5 and on Mar. 31st, of that year he and his wife acted as sponsors at a

baptism in York County. This change meant the breaking up of the family, as some of the children accompanied their parents, sone [sic] remained in Berks County, and one or two may have sought new homes for themselves.
Peter Lenhart spent the rest of his life as farmer in Dover Twp., York County, and he and his wife are buried there in the graveyard of Salems Church near the village of Dover. Their tombstones are still legible. From the inscriptions we learn that

Peter Lenhart was born on May 4, 1708 and died in 1774, while his wife Maria Margaretha was born on Sept. 28, 1713 and died on July 1, 1777.
Peter Lenhart left a will made in March, 1774 and probated on Apr. 8, 1774,7 so this evidently was made on his death-bed. The will mentions his wife Margaretha and nine sons: Philip, Jacob, George, Christopher, Henry, Peter, Frederick, Godfrey and William. While each son was given a legacy, the residence of none was mentioned. Each of these will be considered, following the order shown on Chart I.

SECOND GENERATION
11. Philip Lenhart, ca. 1734--1803
Philip Lenhart evidently was the eldest son of Johan Peter and Margaretha Lenhart, as he was the first son mentioned in his father's will and the births of his own children would indicate him to be older than his brothers. It would appear that he was born about 1734, and therefore came to America with is [sic] parents.
The first record of Philip Lenhart is on Apr. 24, 1757, when his son Johan Jacob (112) was baptized,3 the sponsor being his brother Joh. Jacob (12). On Oct. 8, 1758 Johan Peter (113), another son of Philip and Anna Lenhart, was baptized,3 the sponsors being Peter and Margaretha Lenhart, the grandparents. The birth of a third son, Johan George (114), on Aug. 16, 1770 is recorded.3 In addition to these three sons, Philip and Anna Lenhart must have been the parents of the Philip Lenhart, born in 1755, who was a private in the Revolutionary War and in 1838 [sic], at the age of 78, was receiving a pension.8
Philip Lenhart (11) the elder was a wheelwright5 and a wagoner.6 When his father removed to York County, Philip Lenhart remained in Greenwich Twp., Berks County, where he held from 100 to 250 acres of land and was taxed in 1767,5 1768,6 1779,9 1780,10 and 1781.11 On Aug. 13, 1777 Philip Lenhard took oath of allegiance12 to Pennsylvania, but it probably was his son who was the Philip Leonard listed13 as one of the soldiers of the Revolution from Pennsylvania. In 1790 Philip Leonard was one of the resident heads of families in Greenwich Twp., Berks County.14
Philip Lenhart was still a resident of Greenwich Twp. when he died in 1803. By his will15 his wife Anna was the sole legatee, no children being mentioned. There has been found no record of the death of his widow, nor has the grave of either been found.

Concerning the sons of Philip and Anna Lenhart, little in addition to the foregoing can be said. The records of the Register of Wills and Orphans Court of Berks County disclose nothing, nor have their graves been found. It is probable that in addition to the four sons listed on Chart I, Philip and Anna Lenhart had another son, Johannes. On Mar. 22, 1778 a John Leonhard took oath of allegiance to Pennsylvania, and in 1794 Philip Leonard Jr. conveyed land in Windsor Twp., adjacent to Greenwich Twp., to John Leonard. It is probable that all of the children of Philip and Anna Lenhart removed from the locality after the death of their mother, possibly joining the westward movement then in force.
12. Jacob Lenhart, 1736--1793
Jacob Lenhart (12), second son of Peter and Margaretha Lenhart, and his wife are buried at Jerusalem or Dunkel's Church in Greenwich Twp., Berks County. The German inscription on his tombstone shows that he was born on Nov. 18, 1736 in the Pfalz

(Palatinate), married Anna Maria Keel in this country on Jan. 21, 1760, lived in marriage for 31 years, had five sons and three daughters, and died on Aug. 3, 1793. His wife's tombstone states that she was born a Keel on Feb. 19, 1738 and died on Dec 8, 1791. She was a daughter of the Johannes Keel, Kiehl, or Kühl, born in 1713, who arrived at Philadelphia on the "Loyal Judith" in 1742.16 She was baptized3 in this country on Feb. 18, 1747.
The first record of Jacob Lenhart in Greenwich Twp. is in 1757, when he was a sponser3 at the baptism of Johan Jacob (112), son of his brother Philip (11). When his father Peter removed to York County, Jacob Lenhart remained in Greenwich Twp. and was taxed there in 17675 and 1768.6
When the Revolutionary War came, Jacob Lenhart supported the cause of independence. It may have been he or his nephew Joh. Jacob Lenhart (112) who was the Jacob Leinhart, a private in Capt. Stewart's company of the 3rd Pennsylvania Battalion, who was captured on Nov. 16, 1776.17 If this was the uncle, he was exchanged; for on Sept. 22, 1777 Jacob Lenhard took oath of allegiance18 to Pennsylvania before Jacob Shoemaker of Berks County. Jacob Lennart is listed as a member of Capt. Smith's company of Berks County Militia,19 and in 1781 as a fifer20 in Capt. Ladich's company. Jacob Leonhart, a private, was one of the militiamen from Berks County receiving depreciation pay.21 This record of service has been accepted as qualifying descendants for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution. Jacob Lenhart is listed22 as a veteran, with place of burial stated.
Jacob Lenhart (Leonard) was taxed on 160 acres in Greenwich Twp. during the Revolution,9,10,11 in 1784,23 and in 1785.24 In the first census of the United States in 1790 he is listed as Jacob Leonard, Sr.14

As stated, Anna Maria Keel, wife of Jacob Lenhart, died in 1791 and he died in 1793. He left no will, and administration papers were granted on Aug. 25, 1
793 to his widow Barbara.25 From this it is evident that Jacob Lenhart remarried, but the grave of his second wife has not been found, nor is anything further known of her. Orphans' Court proceedings 26 show that Jacob Leonard of Greenwich Twp., who held 250 acres of land, left a widow Barbara and the following seven children: Jacob, Catharine (m. to Frederick Moyer), Christina (m. to John Homberger), John, Henry, Philip, and Sebastian; Jacob being the eldest and the last three being minors. As the tombstone of Jacob Lenhart states that he had five sons and three daughters, one daughter evidently died in childhood.
No record of the birth or baptism of any of the children of Jacob and Anna Maria Lenhart has been found in the records of any of the Lutheran or Reformed churches in the locality in which they lived. It is probable that Jacob and Anna Maria Lenhart, like their son Heinrich (125), were members of the Moravian sect, which had no church in the vicinity.
13. George Lenhart
This son of Peter and Margaretha Lenhart accompanied his parents to York County. He married Catharine -------, and the baptism of four of their children in York County are recorded.27,28,29 As the first of the four baptisms took place in 176727 and the grandparents were the sponsers, this establishes the later limit of the period during which the family moved to York County. The graves of George and Catharine Lenhart have not been found, nor has any other record of their deaths.
14. Christopher Lenhart
This son of Peter and Margaretha Lenhart also accompanied

his parents to York County, as the births and baptisms of two sons of Christoph and Anna Maria Lenhart are recorded28 in Dover Twp., York County. The graves of Christopher Lenhart and his wife have not been found, nor has any record of their deaths.
15. Heinrich Lenhart
Nothing is known concerning this son of Peter and Margaretha Lenhart, except that he was alive in 1774.7
16. Wilhelm Lenhart, 1745-1819
Wilhelm Lenhart accompanied his parents Peter and Margaretha to York County and, with his wife Anna Maria ------, is buried in the graveyard of Salem Church near Dover, Pa. Their tombstones show that he was born on Nov. 22, 1745 and died on Oct. 27, 1819; while she was born on Sept. 24, 1751 and died on Oct. 22, 1822. His will30 mentioned his wife Anna Maria and the following children: Susanna (m. to Samuel Close), Catharine, Elizabeth (m. to Henry Miller), George, John, Peter and Henry. A son Wilhelm was born29 on Mar. 3, 1777 but evidently did not reach maturity. Wilhelm Lenhart was a farmer in Dover Twp., York County.
17. Godfrey Lenhart, -1819
Accompanying his parents Peter and Margaretha to York County, Godfrey Lenhart became a silversmith and clockmaker in the town of York. According to records29 he married Elizabeth Holsinger on Nov. 14, 1778, but it is claimed that she really was the daughter of Yost Harbaugh and went by the name of her guardian, Bernhard Holzinger. She is stated to have been born on Good Friday, 1753 at Kreutz Creek and to have died in York on June 16, 1824. However, the will of G. Coppenhoeffar of York, made30 in 1795, mentions his daughter Elisabeth and herhusband [sic] Godfrey Lenhart; and it may be

that Godfrey Lenhart married twice. The will of Godfrey Lenhart, made on July 2, 1819 and filed30 on Aug. 23, 1819, mentions no wife, and it would appear that he was a widower. The will mentions the following children: William, Henry, Elizabeth (m. to John Boyly), Margaret (m. to George Kuntz) and Catharine (m. to John McPherson). The births of all of these children are recorded.29
Godfrey Lenhart was a man of some local prominence, as he was active in the organization and operation of post roads, a fire company, and the York Bank (now the York National Bank and Trust Co.). Clocks made by him are in existence, and one of these is supposed to have been used in the Court House at York to time the sessions of the Continental Congress which met there.
18. Johan Peter Lenhart, 1750 -
This son of Peter and Margaretha Lenhart was born on Jan. 30, 1750.3 He probably moved to York County with his parents, and was alive in 1774 when his father died; but no further record concerning him has been found.
19. Friederich Lenhart, 1752 -
The baptism on Mar. 7, 1752 of Friederich, son of Peter Lenhart and wife is recorded.3 As a child he moved to York County with his parents. As shown by the will of his father, he was alive in 1774. In that year he and his wife Catharine acted as sponsers at the baptism29 of Catharine, daughter of his brother George Lenhart (13). He may have been the Frederick Leonard listed13 as one of the soldiers of the Revolutionary War from Pennsylvania. No record of his death or place of burial has been found.

All of the available information concerning these sons of Philip Lenhart (11) and wife Anna has been given above in connection with their father. It is probable that there was another brother, Johannes.
121. Jacob Lenhart, ca. 1763-
No record of the birth of this eldest son of Jacob Lenhart (12) and wife Anna Maria Keel has been found, nor has his place of burial been discovered. Both father and son were taxed in Greenwich Twp., Berks County in 178423 and in 1785.24 The younger Jacob Leonard listed as a resident in 179014 may have been this Jacob Lenhart (121) or Johan Jacob Lenhart (112). No will, administration papers, or Orphans' Court information concerning either of these has been found in Berks County, except that in 1793 Jacob Lenhart (121) submitted a petition26 in connection with the estate of his father. In it he is named as the eldest son. It is probable that he later removed from Berks County.

Except that by 1793 Catharine had married Frederick Moyer and Christina had married John Homberger,26 nothing is known of these daughters of Jacob Lenhart (12) and his wife Anna Maria Keel.
124. Johannes Lenhart, 1770-1839
Johannes, son of Jacob Lenhart (12) and wife Anna Maria, is buried at Jerusalem or Dunkel's Church, Greenwich Twp., Berks County. His tombstone states that he was born on Oct. 1, 1770 in that township and died on July 31, 1839. He left a will32 in which are mentioned his wife Catharine and children of his late brother Heinrich

Lenhart (125). From the will it is evident that Johannes Lenhart left no children.
125. Heinrich Lenhart, 1773-1837
Heinrich Lenhart and his wife Christina are buried beside each other in the graveyard of Dunkel's Church. Their tombstones

show that he was born on Aug. 13, 1773 and died on May 21, 1837, while she was born on Aug. 30, 1773 and died on Jan. 18, 1823. That he was the son of Jacob Lenhart (12) and wife Anna Maria is shown by the administration papers for his father's estate.26
Heinrich Lenhart and his family belonged to the Moravian Reformed Church. He owned 250 acres of land near Lenhartsville and Klinesville, Berks County. A prominent man in the locality, a Democrat in politics, he is considered the founder of Lenhartsville.33 He has been stated33 to have married Salome Leiby, whereas it was his son Henry who did so. Although a search of church records has been made, the maiden name of his wife Christina has

not been learned.
When Heinrich Lenhart died he left no will, but administration papers were filed, 34 with his sons John, Samuel and Isaac as the administrators. Orphans' Court proceedings35 disclose the names of his ten surviving children and one dead son.
126. Sebastian Lenhart, - 1856
Sebastian Lenhart was the youngest son of Jacob Lenhart (12) and wife Anna Maria Keel.26 He was a blacksmith living near Hamburg, Berks, County, Pa.33 As his grave has not been found, the date of his birth is not known. He died in 1856, leaving a will36 from which it is evident that he left a widow, Catharine Elisabeth Miller, but no children. In the will mention is made of Benjamin, son of his brother Henry (125), and Moses, son of his nephew Frederick (1259).

These children of George and Anna Catharine Leonhardt were baptized 27 on Mar. 31, 1767 and Mar. 10, 1769 respectively in Dover Twp., York County.
133. Catharine Lenhart, 1774-
This daughter of George and Catharine Lenhard was baptized on June 5, 177429 in York, Pa. The sponsers were Frederick Lenhard (19) and wife Catharine, uncle and aunt of the child.
134. Maria Barbara Lenhart, 1777 -
This daughter of Georg and Catharine Lenhardt, born on Nov. 3, 1777, was baptized28 in Dover Twp., York County.

164. Friederich Lenhart, 1775-1803
Friederich, son30 of Wilhelm Lenhart (16) and wife Anna Maria, is buried at Salem's Church near Dover, York County. His tombstone states that he was born on Nov. 2, 1775 and died on Sept. 26, 1803.
165. John Lenhart, 1782 - 1862
Son of Wilhelm Lenhart (16) and wife Anna Maria, 30 John Lenhart is buried at Salem's Church near Dover, York County. As shown by his tombstone, he was born on Feb. 25, 1782 and died on Apr. 1, 1862.
166. George Lenhart, 1784 -
George Lenhart was a son 28, 30 of Wilhelm Lenhart (16) and wife Anna Maria. He probably was buried at Salem's Church near Dover, York County, as his two wives are buried there. The first, Margaret, was born in 1783 and died in 1847; the second, Mary, died on Oct. 26, 1864, aged 70 years, 6 months, and 9 days.
167. Peter Lenhart, 1788 - 1868
Peter Lenhart, a son27 of Wilhelm Lenhart (16) and wife Anna Maria, is buried at Salem's Church near Dover, York County. His tombstone states that he died on Jan. 11, 1868, aged 79 years, 11 months and 5 days. His wife Elizabeth is buried beside him. She died on Mar. 16, 1859, aged 68 years, 6 months and 15 days.

168. Henry Lenhart, 1793-1867
Son30 of Wilhelm Lenhart (16) and wife Anna Maria, Henry Lenhart is buried at Salem's Church, near Dover, York County. He died on Apr. l, 1867, aged 74 years and 20 days. A marker on his grave shows that he was a veteran of the War of 1812.
171. Margaret Lenhart, 1779 - 1860
This daughter29 of Godfrey Lenhart (17) and wife Elizabeth was born on Sept. 5, 1779 and died on Mar. 29, 1860. She married George Adam Kuntz, born on Feb. 11, 1777 and died on July 25, 1815.
172. Elizabeth Lenhart, 1781 - 1845
This daughter29 of Godfrey Lenhart (17) and wife Elizabeth was born on Oct. 3, 1781 and died on Dec. 31, 1845. On Apr. 30, 1803 she married John Bayley, a merchant of York, whom she survived.
173. Henry Lenhart, 1784 -
This son29 of Godfrey Lenhart (17) and wife Elizabeth was born on July 22, 1784. He was a Methodist minister at Williamsport, Pa.
174. William Yost Lenhart, 1787 - 1840
Born on Jan. 19, 1787, this son29 of Godfrey Lenhart (17) and wife Elizabeth died on July 10, 1840. Because of ill health he never married, but he became the outstanding member of the family. In addition to being a capable musician, he was a noted mathematician.
175. Catharine Lenhart, 1791-1859
This daughter29 of Godfrey Lenhart (17) and wife Elizabeth was born on Oct. 10, 1791 and died on Jan. 25, 1859. On Apr. 25, 1811 she married John Bayard McPherson of Gettysburg, who was treasurer of Adams County, cashier of the Gettysburg Bank, burgess and councilman of Gettysburg, and a trustee of Pennsylvania College at Gettysburg.

FOURTH GENERATION
1251. Jacob Lenhart, 1792-1825
Jacob, son35 of Heinrich Lenhart (125) and wife Christina, is buried at the New Bethel (Corner) Church in Albany Twp., Berks County. He was born on Oct. 6, 1792 and died on July 9, 1825. He married37 Esther Hahl of Albany Twp., who later married37 his brother Benjamin. His daughter Lydia, 1818-1823, is buried beside him. When he died, administration papers were filed,38 with his brothers Samuel and Benjamin as administrators. He is shown to have been a resident of Albany Twp., where he evidently settled at the time of his marriage. He was survived37 by a son Charles and a daughter Lucinda as well as his widow Esther.
1252. Johannes Lenhart, 1793-1839
This son34,35 of Heinrich Lenhart (125) and wife Christina is buried at Dunkel's Church, Greenwich Twp., Berks County. His tombstone states that he died on Feb. 22, 1839, aged 45 years. His wife, Hannah Heinly, who was born on Sept. 13, 1792 and died on May 6, 1878, is buried beside him. Her tombstone gives her maiden name.
Johannes Lenhart left no will, and administration papers were filed.39 These show him to have been a farmer in Greenwich Twp. The administrators were his son Jacob and his sons-in-law John Fister and John Reber. Orphans' Court proceedings40 mention his wife's name and the names of his ten children. He is shown to have owned 150 acres of land in Greenwich Twp.
1253. Rebecca Lenhart
Of this daughter35 of Heinrich Lenhart (125) nothing is known except that she married Jacob Reichelsderfer.

1254. Samuel Lenhart, 1798-1869
Samuel, son34, 35 of Heinrich Lenhart (125) and wife Christina, is buried at Friedens Church, Lenhartsville, Pa. His wife, Lydia Haman, is buried beside him. He was born on Feb. 28, 1798 in Lenhartsville and died on Aug. 1, 1869; while his wife was born on Apr. l, 1802 and died on Feb. 1, 1872.
Samuel Lenhart was a blacksmith by trade, was a farmer, and had a hotel.33 He was a member and one of the builders of the Reformed Church at Lenhartsville, a Democrat, and active in the community. He and his wife were the parents of fourteen children.33
1255. Isaac Lenhart
This son34,35 of Heinrich Lenhart (125) and wife Christina was one of the administrators of his father's estate and was guardian37 of the two children of his brother Jacob Lenhart (1251). He married Elizabeth Leiby (born 1801), and they had a daughter Catharine, born3 on Nov. 15, 1830. The place of burial of Isaac Lenhart and his wife is not known.
1256. Daniel Lenhart
Nothing is known of this son35 of Heinrich Lenhart (125).
1257. Benjamin Lenhart, 1802-1858
Benjamin, son35 of Heinrich Lenhart (125) and wife Christina, is buried at the New Bethel (Corner) Church in Albany Twp., Berks County. His wife, Esther Hahl, is buried beside him. Their tombstones show that he was born on Oct. 13, 1802 and died on Jan. 8, 1858 while she was born on Nov. 6, 1801 and died on Feb. 6, 1849. She had been the widow of Jacob (1251),37 elder brother of Benjamin Lenhart.

Benjamin and Esther Lenhart had five children41 who survived them. He was a farmer in Albany Twp., Berks County. When he died he left no will, but administration papers were filed.42 The administrators were a son James and sons-in-law Daniel Grim and Johan B. Hemmerly.
1258. Henry Lenhart, 1804-1840
Henry, son35 of Heinrich (125) and Christina Lenhart, is buried at Dunkel's Church, Greenwich Twp., Berks County. He was born on July 21, 1804 and died on Aug. 9, 1840. By trade he was a blacksmith residing in Greenwich Twp.43 He married Salome Leiby, and they were the parents of two sons, Augustus and Alfred, as well as two others, Jeremias and Bennet, who died as infants and are buried at Dunkel's Church.
1259. Frederick Lenhart
Nothing is known of this son32,35 of Heinrich (125) and Christina Lenhart except that he was married and had a son Moses.36 Frederick was alive at the time of his father's death.35

This daughter of Heinrich (125) and Christina Lenhart35 married Jonathan Lesher prior to 1837 and survived her father.

Lydia Lenhart is buried beside her father Jacob Lenhart (1251) at the New Bethel (Corner) Church, Albany Twp., Berks County. Charles H. Lenhart, son37 of Jacob Lenhart (1251) and wife Esther Hahl, is buried, with his wife Fanny F., at the same place. He was born on Nov. 4, 1820 and died on Oct. 7, 1895; while his wife was born on Jan. 27, 1831 and died on Feb. 7, 1900. He left a will.44 His sister Lucinda has been stated to have married Willoughby Lutz, but it was her half-sister Catharine who did so.

The ten children40 of Johannes Lenhart (1252) and wife Hannah Heinly are shown on Chart II. Nothing in addition to the information shown on the chart is known concerning these individuals. Jacob (12521), the eldest, was a resident of Greenwich Twp., where he died45 in 1855. He was born on Sept. 12, 1814 and died on Mar. 21, 1855, as shown by his tombstone at the Zions Church at Grimsville.

Julia, daughter41 of Benjamin Lenhart (1257) and wife Esther Hahl, married John B. Hemerly, a farmer, carpenter, and contractor of Albany Twp., Berks County. They are buried together at

the New Bethel (Corner) Church. Her tombstone gives her maiden name and states that she was born on July 17, 1833 and died on Sept. 17, 1902. He was born on June 27, 1829 and died on Feb. 24, 1904. Both were members of the Reformed branch of the New Bethel (Corner) Church. They had the following eleven children:

12574. Levi H. Lenhart, 1839-1865
Levi H., son41 of Benjamin (1257) and Esther Lenhart, is buried at the Jerusalem ("Red") Church in Albany Twp., Berks County. He was born on Aug. 11, 1839 and died on Aug. 23, 1865. His tombstone states that his wife was Sarah L. Kistler. Details concerning him and his immediate family have been published.41
12575. Catharine Lenhart
This daughter41 of Benjamin (1257) and Esther Lenhart was a minor at the time of her father's death. She was born on Apr. 29, 1842, died on Feb. 3, 1870, and is buried at Jacobs Church, Jacksonville, Lehigh County, beside her husband Willoughby Lutz. He was born on July 12, 1837 and died on June 21, 1899.

12582. Alfred H. Lenhart
This son of Henry Lenhart (1258) and wife Salome Leiby was born on June 1, 1837, died on Dec. 24, 1901, and is buried at Dunkel's Church in Greenwich Twp., Berks County. His wife, Helena Dietrich, who is buried beside him, was born on Feb. 23, 1836 and died on Aug. 4, 1894. Two sons, George Heinrich (1860-1861) and Clement (1865-1871), are buried with them.
