Known as Frank most of his life. A William F. Gregory paid twenty-three cents road tax to Harrison township in 1867 (Daviess county road tax, p. 2). CWSS lists a William F. Gregory joining Co. G, 42nd Indiana Infantry, which took most of it's complement from Daviess Co. Mustered out as Corporal. His tombstone indicates that he was in the Civil War
