VIPPOND
Richard Vippond (1804-1866)was born
in Cork, Ireland. He married Anne Bridges (1808-1865) in 1827 in the
Cape Colony (now South Africa)
Their children included:
- Richard John Vippond
(1828-1880) who married Elizabeth Barnard in the Cape Colony in
1854
- William Arthur Vippond
(1831-1854) who married Eleanor Elizabeth Coles in the Cape Colony
in 1851
- James Parker Vippond, born in
1832
- Elizabeth Jane Vippond
(1837-1888) who married Alexander Stark in Sandhurst in 1857
- Anne Maria Vippond, born in
1839, who married William Joseph Wealands in 1861
- Edward Vippond, born in 1841,
who married Emma Deer in 1857 in London
- Ellen Margaret Vippond
(1841-1903) who married Samuel Smith in 1860
- Catherine Webster Vippond
(1846-1904) who married Alfred George Smith in 1861
- Alice Mary Vippond (1848- ) who
married Henry James and later John Samuel Williams
All of the Vippond family, except
for William, James and Edward, migrated to Victoria in the 1850's.
