HOYLAND
A number of years ago my uncle, Roy Sparkes, started to research his family history and it is him I have to thank for the information on these pages. The detailed information I have on computer but not (yet) online. Please email me if you want to know more. Liz
This
family came from the West Riding of Yorkshire, around Silkstone, and
were miners. Rose HOYLAND, Roy's mother always claimed she was the
youngest of 14 children yet his research put her as the 12th of 13
children, so there may be another 1 or 2 stillborn or infant deaths
