A number of years ago my uncle, Roy Sparkes, started to research his family history and it is him I have to thank for the information on these pages. The detailed information I have on computer but not (yet) online. Please email me if you want to know more. Liz
The research for this side of the family was more difficult because my grandfather who was born in Essex was orphaned and moved to Yorkshire thus breaking many family links. The members traced were mainly agricultural labourers in the area around Colchester, Essex. Photo link below.
