John Duncan Morgan was born 12 Sep. 1868 in Liberty, Missouri to Andrew Corbley Morgan and his wife, Mary Elizabeth Miller. He married Laura Frances Archer on 2 Aug 1891. She was born 10 Jan 1871 in Liberty, Clay, Missouri to Andrew Jackson Archer and his wife, Martha M. Britton. John and Laura had seven girls and one boy.

In 1897, John and Laura came to Wahington with their family and settled at Rosalia where they lived until 1901. John and Laura operated a wheat ranch near Creston, WA until coming to Wenatchee, Wa in 1924.

Laura Frances was a member of the Assembly of God. Ernie Moore, who married their grand daughter, Elinor, recalls that Laura Frances was a very straight-laced evangelist woman. She saw everything either as black or white. When her youngest child, Florence, was sick, she would not call for the doctor. Florence died and may be buried in Creston, Wa.

  M i Andrew Corbley MORGAN was born 27 Oct 1892 in Liberty Co, Missouri. He died 24 Jul 1966 in Wenatchee, WA and was buried in Evergreen Memorial Cemetary, E. Wenatchee. Andrew married Georgia Berniece WARREN on 11 Jun 1913 in Rocklyn, WA. Georgia Berniece WARREN or "Bee" was born 22 Nov 1893 in Calamus, Clinton, Iowa. She died 26 May 1965 in East Wenatchee, WA and was buried in Evergreen Memorial Cemetary, E. Wenatchee. Andy and Bee had two children.
  F ii Hazel Mae MORGAN was born 15 Jun 1894 in Liberty, Mo.. She died 1 Mar 1978 in San Jose, CA. Hazel married Charles Reid JOHNSON who was born 1885. He died 1951 and was buried in Crown Hill, Ballard, WA. Hazwl and Charles had four children.
  F iii Hettie Maude MORGAN was born 11 Dec 1896 in Liberty City, Mo.. She died 1 Mar 1982 in Wenatchee, Wa. Hettie married Elmer Ludabar SMITH in Republic, WA. Elmer was born 1 Sep 1894 in WA. He died Jan 1983 in Creston, Lincoln, Washington. Elmer and Hettie had two children. Hettie also married Lendal MAKEE. "Lennie" was born 29 Nov 1900 and died 22 Apr 1968 in Umatilla, OR.
  F iv Nelly Lee MORGAN was born 31 Mar 1900. She died Jul 1985 in Gresham, Multnomah, Oregon. Nelly married Ossie Rosco WARD. Ossie was born 9 Oct 1897 and died May 1960. Ossie and Nelly had eight children. Nelly also married John TILTON. John was born 3 Sep 1915 and died Oct 1973.
  F v Pearl Violet MORGAN was born 14 Nov 1906. She died 4 Jan 1964. Pearl married Henry Joe HEMINGER. Henry was born 10 Dec 1892 and died 26 Nov 1979. Henry and Pearl had three children.
  F vi Florence Marie MORGAN was born 1907 in Lincoln, WA and died before 1935. Never married. Died young as a result of either a miscarriage or abortion.
  F vii Viola Grace MORGAN was born in 1908. She died 1995 and was buried in Evergreen Memorial Cemetary, E. Wenatchee, WA. Viola married Leroy A. MCKINLEY. "Roy" was born 29 Apr 1905 and died 26 Oct 1999 in Seattle, Wa. No issue.
  F viii Helen Fay MORGAN was born in 1912 and died before 1935. Never married. Died as a young woman with problems related to menstration.

John died 23 Apr 1949 in Spokane, WA. and Laura died 7 Apr 1959 in Wenatchee, WA. John Duncan Morgan and his wife Laura Frances Archer Morgan are buried in the Wenatchee Cemetery.

Born in Liberty, Mo., Jan 10, 1871. Married John D. Morgan there in 1889. In 1897, she came to Wahington with ther family locating at Rosalia where she lived until 1901. She and her husband operated a wheat ranch near Creston, Wa until coming to Wenatchee, Wa in 1924. Mrs. Morgan resided at 930 S. Mission St. until her illness. She was a member of the Assembly of God. Laura was preceded in death by her husband, and by two daughters, Florence Marie and Helen Fay Morgan, who died as young women and never married. Surviving Laura at her death were her one son, Andy Morgan, East Wenatchee; five daughters, Mrs. Carl Lindberg, San Jose Ca., Mrs. O.H. Makee, McNary, Or., Mrs. Ossie Rosco Ward, and Mrs. Leroy McKinley, both of Seattle, and Mrs. Jake Jacobson, Sweet Home, Or.; 21 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

John Duncan Morgan, 80, of 930 South Mission Street, died Saturday in a Spokane hospital following a lingering illness. Born on Sept. 12, 1868 in Liberty, Clay county, MO., he grew to manhood there and was married to Laura Archer in 1889. They had celebrated their 59th wedding aniversary. Fifty-two years ago in 1897, he came to Washington with his family and locating at Rosalia where he lived for four years until 1901 when he moved to Creston. He operated a wheat farm near Creston until 1924 when he retired and came to Wenatchee. He was a member of the Assembly of God church. Two daughters preceded him in death. He is survived by his widow; one son, Andrew C. Morgan of Wenatchee; five daughters, Mrs. Hazel Johnson of Westport, WA, Mrs. Haddie McKee of North Richland, Mrs. Nellie Ward of Seattle, Mrs. Pearl Reichardt of Spokane, and Mrs. Viola McKinley of Wenatchee; 18 gradchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Methodist Church on Orando Street at 3:30 pm Tuesday. The Rev. A. S. Teuber will officiate. R. E. Petterson will sing with Carolyn Sterling at the organ. Casket bearers will be members of the Assembly of God church.
