King Henry VIII Tudor
It is suggested in some documents including in the book 'Edward's Legacy' by David Dean Edwards (1992), that it was whispered among some Tudor researchers that Agnes was mistress to King Henry VIII of England and that the son RICHARD was fathered by King Henry and not by William. But no solid proof has yet to be found if it ever will be. Nor has solid proof been found that Richard was the son of William either. It will be up to the researcher as to which line to follow. I believe that the evidence leans more towards the fact that Richard was the "bastard" son of the King and Agnes and my documentation here will reveal that line. It is documented that Agnes did have a son named Richard, but only 2 sons, William and Henry are shown to be positively the sons of William. Richard is said to have kept his Edwards last name out of shame for the indescency that his month engaged in.
King Henry VIII Tudor was born ca. 1491 and died ca. 1546. He had a mistress named Agnes Blewitt who was born 1509 and she died ca.1575.
The 1 child of King Henry VIII Tudor and Agnes is as follows:I. Richard Edwardes
** Note ** It has also been suggested that Agnes was the wife of William Edwardes, born ca. 1500 in England and died ca. 1547. The son Richard is the son that cannot be positively linked to William beucase records suggest that he was born from another man, King Henry VIII. He is known as the "bastard child" of Agnes.
The 2 known children of William Edwardes and Agnes are as follows:
William EdwardsHenry Edwards

There are a lot of Jenkins families in Burke, Screven, and Effingham counties prior to 1840. Some families to investigate for connections to William are: Stephen L. Jenkins b. 1784 and John Jenkins b. 1806 in Burke county. The Stephen Jennings family also lives near and has close association to a Brown family.
The 50th Infantry Regiment was organized at Savannah, Georgia, during the spring of 1862. Its members were recruited in the counties of Ware, Coffee, Lowndes, Thomas, De Kalk, Clinch, Colquitt, Berrien and Brooks. After serving in the District of Georgia, the 50th moved to Virginia and was assigned to General Drayton's, Semmes', Bryan's, and Simms' Brigade. It participated in the campaigns of the Army of Northern Virginia from SECOND MANASSAS to GETTYSBURG, then was ordered back to Georgia. However, the unit did not arrive in time to share in the Battle of Chicamauga. It was involved in the Knoxville operations and later the conflicts at THE WILDERNESS, SPOTSYLVANIA, and COLD HARBOR. The regiment fought with Early in the Shenadoah Valley and ended the war at APPOMATTOS. There were 29 killed and 97 wounded at SHARPSBURG and 17 killed and 153 wounded at CHANCELLORSVILLE. It lost thirty percent of the 302 engaged at Gettysburg, had many disabled at SAYLER'S CREEK, and surrendered with 1 captain, 2 lieutenants, 2 surgeons, and 25 men. The field officers were Colonels William R. Manning and Peter McGlashan; Lieutenant Colonels William O. Fleming, Francis Kearse, and Pliny Sheffield; and Majors Duncan Curry, P.C. Pendleton, and John M. Spence.1850 US Census, Ware County, Georgia, Son, Household of George Jenkins

Mary Ann Brown is 26-45. Given 2 sons about 20+/- 5 years old, expect Mary Ann is 40+/-5 years oldConclusions from above census records: (by Mike Chapman)
- It appears that the Mary in the 1820, 1830, and 1840 census is the same person.
- It also appears the John in the 1830, 1840, and 1850 census is the same person.
- This suggests that Mary Ann Brown could be either the mother or sister to John Brown.
- Other evidence suggests a John Brown (not identified in the above census records) is the father of Indiana. See notes on John Brown.
Informative email on Mary Ann Brown:
I previously conjectured that Mary Brown in the 1840 census could be the mother or grandmother of Indiana for the census data given. I have received the following email:
Hi Mike,I stumbled across your KinNextions website at your search for possible parents of Indiana Brown b. 1837 in Wayne Co. GA.
I dont know if you have gone any further since you posted this information and come to any other conclusion, but you made a possible conclusion that Mary Ann Brown shown as a widow in 1820 census could be the mother [or grandmother]. This information may help you exclude her and possibly consider another possibility.
The widow Mary Ann Ratcliff married John Brown around 1808.
From Camden County records:
JOHN BROWN - CCG records show that on 09 September 1795 he was a Constable; on 13 April 1798 signed a petition asking the GA Governor for militia security against Indian insurgencies in the Burnt Fort area - "Camden's Challenge," by Reddick p. 198; on 13 July 1799 took the Oath of Allegiance; according to CCG records on 05 January 1804 he was one of the Commissioners of Inferior Court who laid out public roads; on 06 January 1808 Minute Book of Court of Ordinary states that John Brown had lately intermarried with Mrs. Mary Ratcliff; listed on 1809 CCG Tax Digest in Capt. Grayhams District; on 02 June 1817 applied for a warrant for 300 acres of land with a "Low Hammock," surrounded by cypress, pines, water oaks, & Elliot's land & John Brown's land - surveyed on 14 October 1817 by Wm. Niblack - witnessed by Hugh Brown & George Low - CCG Land Plat Book F p. 40; on 03 November 1817 applied for a warrant for 145 acres of pine land shaped in a triangle, containing a small pond, & surrounded by lightwood, live oaks, water oaks & pines, old station & Elliot's Corner & John Brown's land - surveyed on 08 November 1817 by Wm. Niblack - witnessed by Hugh Brown & George Low - CCG Land Plat Book F p. 41.
Mary Ann, maiden name not known, (born between 1760-1770) had 3 sons by her previous marriage to Richard Ratcliff who died around 1804. Those sons were Benjamin, James and Richard Ratcliff. Mary Ann had 3 daughters with husband John Brown; namely, Eliza J, Sarah Ann and Harriet. Mary Ann and her three daughters were fortunate drawers in the 1827 Georgia Land Lottery. Mary Ann was listed as a widow and the daughters received a lot next to her. The daughters were listed as orphans. The 3 sons of Mary Ann Brown you saw in the 1820 census were her Ratcliff sons. Mary Ann Brown names these three sons in her will dated January 3, 1835. She mentions daughters Eliza J, (who had married Alexander Cuthbert Scott) and Harriet Piles and Sarah Ann, who was unmarried at that time. In 1840, Mary Ann was still living and there were two other females living with her, one between 20-30, and another under 5. This could be Sarah Ann with a child, or it could possibly be a widowed Harriet with a child. I really dont know anything about Harriet other than she married someone with the last name of Piles/Pyles. I dont know if Harriet was living or dead by 1840. There was also a Sarah Brown, age 20-30, listed on the same census page, with two male children. So although Indiana Brown is definitely not the daughter of Mary Ann and John Brown, she may be the daughter of Sarah Ann Brown, as it does appear she is unmarried with children.
Let me know if this seems possible. I dont see an Indiana anywhere in the 1850 census in Wayne County.

Andrew's middle name is Corbley as given on the death certificate of his son, Edward Burns Morgan.
Edward is the half brother to Victor.Andrew Corbley Morgan's death date is not known, however, his wife (?widow?) married a second time, in April 1894 and so it is persumed that Andrew had died by then.
