(Lon) Thompson, Jr., of Mission, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. John (Shirley) Russell, and Mrs. William (Virginia) Fortnum, both of Seattle; two brothers, George and Paul Schulz, both of Tacoma; a sister, Mrs. L. Samuel A. (Lon) Thompson was born in Tacoma, WA on Dec. 27, 1919. He died of pneumonia on Dec. 25, 2007. Lon Suffered from Alzheimer's for the past three years. Lon graduated from Puyallup High School in 1937 and attended the University of Washington for four years. During WWII he served in the Navy. Lon made his living in sales and retired in 1982 from Vanity Fair as VP of Sales. Left behind are his devoted wife Marie (Thanasse) of 66 years, daughter Suzanne, son Steve, sisters virginia Fortnum and Shirley Russell, two grandsons, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Internment at Sumner Cemetery. Arrangements by Hill Funeral Home.
