The Rev. Fred A. Delk
LUDOWICI -- The Rev. Fred A. Delk, 88, died March 21 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup.He was a native of Long County and was a former resident of Roopville and Jacksonville, Fla. He retired from active ministry in 1970. He was a member of Southern Baptist Convention, Ludowici First Baptist Church and was a Chaplain with the Army Air Corps during World War II.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Jennifer Wortham of Ludowici; a grandson, David Wortham of Ludowici; two granddaughters, Anastasia and Victoria Wortham, both of Ludowici; and several cousins.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: will be held at a later date in Ludowici First Baptist Church.

HARTZELL, HAZEL D., 91, of Tampa, died Saturday (Aug. 5, 2000) at St.Joseph's Hospital. Born in Ludowici, Ga., she lived her most of her life. She was retired from Greyhound Motor Lines, a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union and First Baptist Church of Tampa. Survivors include a son, Joseph S. Weaver, Brandon; a brother, Sanford S. Delk, Tallahassee; three sisters, Doris DuBois, Plant City, Mildred A. Coker, Tampa, and Estelle Evans, Dade City; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Hopewell Funeral Home, Plant City.
