Thomas Benton HICKS

census: 1850 MO, Schuyler

Hicks family in British Columbia
Thomas Benton Hicks married Princess Annie Spitlam-Hathallip daughter of Cheif David Spitlam / Hathallip sister to Michael Spitlam who took over Cheif from his father. Thomas Benton Hicks had a lake named after him in Harrison Hot Springs area of British Columbia,Canada.  He was popular with many having knowledge of his ability to farm and introduced apple orchards to Agassiz and Harrison Hot Springs.  Hicks Lake in BC is a popular fishing spot and swimming.  It has a restriction on the size of motors and a wonderful campground there.  Located up the mountain from Hicks Lake is a natural hot spring.  Many love to soak in there but few know where it is and how to get there.  I bet Thomas Benton knew.
