He was a Private CSA Sept. 29,1861. Then wounded at Spotsville Va. May 12, 1864. Roll for Aug 31,1864 (last on file) shows him wounded. Pension records shows him discharged on account of wounds in l864.
He is shown in the 1830 Wayne County, GA census as living with a wife and
3 children. His wife is shown as age 30-40. The children were 2 males
under 5 yrs., and 1 female age 5-10.He is shown in the 1830 census of Wayne Co., GA as living with his wife
and 3 children.
She is shown in the 1850 census of Wayne County, GA as being 50 years old,
the head of the household with two teenage boys, Jacob and John,living
with her.
He lived in that portion of Ware County that is now Coffee Co. He was a
County Commissioner for several years, serving one year as chairman of the
