Teresa Renee WESTBERRY

Mrs. Teresa Renee Lightsey McCarty, 36, of Spring Breeze Road, Willacoochee, Ga., passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2003, as a result of injuries received in a motor vehicle accident. Mrs. McCarty, a native of Wayne County, Ga., was born January 10, 1967, the daughter of the late Phillip Jackson and Wynell Westberry Lightsey. She was a preschool teacher at Eastside Baptist Church Academy and was a member of Living Church of God.

Survivors include: her husband, Michael McCarty of Willacoochee, Ga.; two sons, Kevin McCarty and Scott McCarty, both of Willacoochee, Ga.; one step-daughter, Christy Davis of Weaverville, N.C.; one sister, Shirley Thomas of Baxley, Ga.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Sims Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Don Hall officiating. Special music was an instrumental, "To the Hills, I Lift Mine Eyes," by Allen McCarty, pianist. Burial followed at Satilla Gardens Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Josh McCarty, Matt McCarty, James Ginn, Wayne McCarty, Troy Aldridge, and Bryan Aldridge. Honorary pallbearers were David Chambers, Wallace Hay, Joe Brown, Martin Bragg, Johnny Jackson, Gerald Lightsey, Roy Lightsey, and Eugene Lightsey. Sims Funeral Home of Douglas, Ga., was in charge of the arrangements.

Brannen-Westberry. The wedding of Miss Nadene Brannen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Brannen of Bristol, and Eugene Westberry of Jesup and Savannah, son of Mayro Westberry of Jesup, was solemnized Saturday June 14 at 8:30 p.m. at the home of the bride. Rev. Joe C. Kindred of Jesup performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of a group of relatives and friends of the couple. The living room where the couple spoke the wedding vows was attractively decorated with white gladioli. Miss Betty Sue Boyette, aunt of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. Miss Boyette was dressed in white and carried a nosegay of mixed flowers. The flower girls were Miss Naomi Westberry, sister of the groom, and Miss Lawanna Boyette, cousin of the bride. Little Miss Jannie Tyre, another cousin of the bride carried the ring on a white satin pillow. She was dressed in pink. Harry Smith of Doctortown, served as best man and Carrol Kicklighter played the wedding music. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was dressed in a lovely white ballerina length dress with a veil of net. She carried an orchid. The mother of the bride was dressed in white with an orchid corsage. Mrs. Westberry, mother of the groom, wore navy blue and white pink roses. After the ceremony, a reception was given at the home of the bride. The bride�s table was covered with a lace tablecloth. Rosebuds encircled the setting of the wedding cake. For traveling, Mrs. Westberry wore a white linen suit with an orchid. After a short wedding trip to Florida, Mr. and Mrs. Westberry will live in Savannah where Mr. Westberry is employed at the Union Bag and Paper Co.
