Roswell Leland WARREN

(H. Citizen: 7-12-1929)
Someone shot a .22 calibre rifle ball through the window of Roscoe Warren's residence in the northern part of town recently. A toy goose was sitting on the window ledge and the ball went through the glass just above it, as though it had been used for the target. Mr Warren, however, lives in the Fred A Nice house. The bullet struck the stove in the residence, Mrs Warren and the children were in the residence at the time. From the way the bullet was flattened out from the impact with the stove, it shows it would have killed a human being had it struck a vital place. There is an ordinance in Harrington against shooting incide the city limits and the city officials state that this ordinance is going to be enforced in the future. $25 fine is prescribed as the penalty.
