Someone told me Charles Baze was a horse trainer. So I plugged "Charles Baze horse racing" into Google and hit the jackpot. Mabel was a jockey and got the fellows interested in horse racing. It is quite a family. Right now, Russell Baze, grandson of Mabel and Charles is about to overtake the record as the "winningest" jockey of all time. He surpassed Willie Shoemaker and is closing in on Lafitte Pincay.
