MARRIAGE: George Eason first marriage was in Tattnall County to Penelope Sykes, daughter of Arthur Sykes of Appling County; there was no known issue by her. She seems to have left him and left the county as service of divorce proceedings in Appling Superior Court was perfected on her by publication in 1832 when he secured a divorce from her. The second marriage took place soon after the divorce was granted, and was to Elizabeth Leggett daughter of Jordan Leggett and his wife Prussia Rountree, formerly of Burke County but who had moved to Appling.

MILITARY: George served as 1st Lieutenant in the Appling County militia, 443rd district, 1825-1828.

OCCUPATION: Justice of Peace, 583rd district, 1833-1837.
