-IN MEMORY OF WILLIAM SHELTON DELK
Once more we are called upon the passing of one of the Sons of Light. Once more the angel of death has alarmed our outer-door and has summoned from our midst another of our faithful band. When the summons came Bro. W. S. Delk, as we believe, in perfect readiness, answered the call, Bro. W. S. Delk was born June 12th, 1846 and died March 10th, 1925. He was married to Miss Sarah Ann Smart on April 5th, 1866. He mourned her death. On April 11th, 1906, he was married to Mrs. Sallie A. Stubbs, who survived him.

Bro. Delk sought and found Masonic light in early manhood sometime before Bay View Lodge No. 410, F. & A. M. was constituted, but when the brethren petitioned the Grand Lodge for a charter Bro. Delk was included in the membership and ever remained a substantial pillar for Day View Lodge, holding nearly every station from Worshipful Master to Tyler with credit to himself and honor to the fraternity. He was a kind-hearted man, a devoted Christian, a true lover of Masonry
and indeed a loyal brother, always serving them when opportunity was his. We the members of Bay View Lodge No. 410, F, & A. M. feel the loss very keenly of his counsel and cheer as well as a life true and consistent with the noble tenets of our sacred order. Yet we hope by living consistent lives to true Masonry we each shall once more grasp his vanished hand while passing through the gates into the Erternal City. Done by order of Bay View Ledge No, 410, 7. F, & A. M., in regular
session. This September' 18th, 1925. H. F. Long, C. J. Smiley, H. C. Hodges,  Committee

Henry Clay MOORE

HENRY C. MOORE was born in Clinch County, October 10th, 1850, the son of JOHN MOORE. Early in life he became a cripple from rheumatism, and when twnety-six years old was elected County Treasurer of Clinch County. He was commissioned January 17th, 1877, and by continuous re-elections served until his death. He married Miss FANNIE C. Smith, daughter of Jesse Smith, September 2nd, 1879, and by her had three daughters, viz.: LUCY, LORENA and BELLE MOORE. His death occurred June 17th, 1891, after a long and distressing illness. The County Commissioners in their report to the Grand Jury, at the October term, 1891, said in part: "Since the last session of your honorable body a Divine Providence has seen fit to call to his last account our worthy treasurer, Henry C. Moore, who has served the County of Clinch for the last fifteen years in that capacity. He has been the custodian of hte moneys of this county, and during all the years with the demand that terminated his life, even yet when the Messenger of Death came, he left his books correct and the money on hand to the fraction of a cent ... " This tribute is signed by F. B. SIRMANS, ISHAM PATTERSON and W. H. GARY, Commissioners. SOURCE: "History of Clinch County, Georgia", pp. 275, 276
