David Burney came with his parents in his boyhood to Glynn County and was married in Wayne County. His marriage to Susannah Gibson produced three children. David died at his home in Wayne County in 1829 and his widow was appointed the administratrix of his estate and later appointed guardian for the children on April 15, 1833.
