Mary Emily Owens Baker, age 85, of Crockett, passed away Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998 at East Texas Medical Center Crockett. Mrs. Baker was born Aug. 15, 1913 in Polk County to the late William C. Baker and Therasa Robinett Baker. She was a homemaker and a member of Loop 304 Church of Christ in Crockett.

Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by two husbands, Golden Owens and Frank Baker.

Survivors include her daughter, Nelda Johnson and hsuband, Ray of Crockett; sister, Violet Story of Grapeland; sister-in-law, Era Thetford of Grapeland; grandson, Stuart McLen and wife, kerri of Grapeland.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Baker were held Saturday, Oct. 10 at 4 PM at the Refuge Cemetery with Rick Kelley officiating. Interment followed.

Pallbearers were Troy Pennington, Aaron Pennington, Rich Atchison, John Atchison, Bill Cheatham, Carrol Owens.
