KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That I, Mrs. A.B. Harrington of the aforesaid State and County, in consideration of the sum of ($150) One hundred and fifty Dollars, to me in hand paid by J.A. Johnston, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained, sold and released and conveyed and by these presents grant, bargain, sell, transfer and convey unto the said J.A. Johnston, the following described tract or parcel of land, to-wit:
Situated in the said County of Trinity, containing Ten acres of land and described as follows, to-wit:
Being a part of the GUADALUPE SOSA league granted to said Sosa on the 19th day of April, 1835, by the Government of Texas, and the same being situated about Two miles East from the Trinity River, and bounded as follows:
BEGINNING 632 vrs. North from the Southwest corner of said league on the W.B. line of the same, set a stake at head of ravine for corner;
THENCE West 278 vrs.;
THENCE North 203 vrs.
THENCE West 278 vrs. to the W.B. line of said league;
THENCE South, on said W.B. line, 203 vrs. To the beginning, together with, all and singular, the rights, members, hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise incident or appertaining.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, all and singular, the above mentioned property unto the said J.A. Johnston, his heirs and assigns, forever. And I. The said Mrs. A.B. Harrington, do hereby warrant and forever defend the right and title to the same, against the claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.

BEFORE ME, W.D. Shaw, a Notary Public in and for the County of Trinity, personally appeared Luke Ashworth, who resides at Trinity, in Trinity County, Texas, subscribing witness to the foregoing deed, who being duly sworn, stated on oath that he saw Mr.s A.B. Harrington subscribe the same, and acknowledged that he did so for the purposes and consideration therein stated, and that he signed the same as witness at the request of the said Mrs. A.B. Harrington and saw Chambers and Harrington do likewise.
TO CERTIFY WHICH, I hereto sign my name and affix my seal this 18th day of Feb. A.D. 1879

BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority, this day appeared in person A.B. Harrington, whose signature appears to the above and foregoing deed of conveyance or instrument of writing and who is to me well known and who acknowledged to me that he had signed and delviered said deed for all the uses, purposes and considerations therein set forth and express.
