Gretzinger Genealogy
The initial research of my roots was to identify the emigrant for each of my grandparentsGretzinger (Groezinger), Huber, Boyer (Bayer) and Trumbore (Drumbore). For my direct line, the Gretzingers, I was able to confirm the immigrant and identify four generations in Germany with the help of the National Church Archive in Stuttgart, Germany. The results of this research appear in the genealogy report Descendants of Karl (Groezinger) Gretzinger.
Most of the Huber research was conducted by my cousin, Ray A. Huber. He traveled to Switzerland to document the Huber immigrant as well as identify Huber ancestors back to the 16th century. The results of this research appear in the genealogy report Descendants of Jacob Huber.
With the help of the book American Boyers I was able to connect my Boyer ancestors to the immigrant, Andrew (Bayer) Boyer. The results of this research appear in the genealogy report Descendants of Andrew Boyer.
My research of the Trumbore line was aided by the book published by James H. Price that included the descendants of Andrew Trumbore (Drumbore). His research, however, did not connect to my ancestors. By using the census records, I believe I have made the connection from my line to Prices research. Further study, however, is necessary to confirm this connection.
The result of all my research has been published in a hard covered book Gretzinger Genealogy. A copy is on file at the Library of Congress, Washington, DC (Control Number 2002111053). A copy is also available at the Spruance Library at the Bucks County Historical Library, Doylestown, PA and the Montgomery County Historical Library, Norristown, PA.
My book also contains family connections to the following families: Stiefel, Levy and Weidner. For each of these families, the immigrant had been identified and a complete genealogy report for each family is included in the book.
