Know all men by these presents that we G.C. Hanson and wife Marcella Hanson of the town of Meridian, County of Bosque, in the State of aforesaid for and in consideration of one hundred dollars to us in hand paid by Roland Heflin have granted sold and conveyed and by these presents do grant , sell and convey unto the said Roland Heflin of the town of Meridian, County of Bosque in the State of Texas all that certain lot tract or parcel of land to wit:  all our interest in the undivided two hundred and fifty acres of land known as the David Frost survey and being situated on the waters of Spring Creek  a tributary of the Bosque River and about eight miles west of the town of Meridian and containing fifth acres it being the interest to said land deeded to us by David Heflin and M.M. Heflin.  To have and to hold the above described premises together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in any wise belonging unto the said Roland Heflin heirs or assigns forever and we do hereby bind our heirs, executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Roland Heflin heirs and assigns against every person whosoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.

Before me John Harvey, JP and Exofficio Notary Public for the above county and state on this day personally appeared Geo. C. Hanson, known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing instrument and acknowledge to me that he executed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed.

The State of Texas County of Bosque

Before me John Harvey, J.P. and Exofficio Notary Public for the above county and state on this day personally appeared Geo. C. Hanson and Marcella Hanson, his wife, known to me to be the persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing instrument and stated that they had executed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed and the said Marcella Hanson being examined by me privily and apart from her husband, and having the same fully explained to her she the said Marcella Hanson acknowledged the same to be her act and deed and declared that she had willingly signed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed and that she did not wish to retract it.
