Amarintha was born ^{4, 5, 6} on 11 Aug 1854 in Wayne Co or Jones Co, MS. She died on 22 Feb 1903 in Washington Parish, LA. She was buried in Varnado Cemetery, Washington Parish, LA.

Her daughter, Adella's obit lists her name as Samantha Shoemake. She was named Martha Shoemake in her son Walter's obit.

He was buried in Varnado Cemetery, Washington Parish, LA. ~Mom hardly knew Sandy but she said " He was a dirtroad sport". He fairly well stayed in trouble. When in trouble he would come to Grandpa Walters. Grandpa and Grandma Luda would clean him up, make him healthy and then he was off again. (Note by Kenneth Creel) DEATH: From the Arizona Death Certificate, Sandy had been sick with tuberculosis for five years. He was buried 10 on 17 Nov 1974 in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Washington Parish, LA. James joined religion Baptist. He is shown as donating 455 hours of labor in building the new Bethel Baptist Church in 1949. His nieces, Helen & Louise Fisher, remember when he would come to Palestine to visit them on his way to Kaufman to see his other siblings. OBITUARY: Franklinton Era-Leader, 21 Nov 1974 James F. Walters Succumbs Nov. 15 Death came to former resident of Route 4 Franklinton, eighty four James Felder Walters, at seven thirty o'clock Friday evening, November fifteenth while he was domiciled at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Bogalusa. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. George Folkes of Kaufman, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews. The body lay in state in Franklinton at Poole's Funeral Home, where final rites were conducted from the chapel at three o'clock Sunrday afternoon, November seventeenth followed by interment in the Bethel Cemetery. Rev. Ron Guy and Rev. Eugene Bess were officiating clergy for the religious rites and pallbearers were Ashley Stringfield, Bob Walters, Gerald Welch, Charlie Creel, Kenneth Creel, and Walter O'Bryant.
