In the book: Schools, Churches, Cemeteries (Pictures, Charts, Maps), Marshall County, West Virginia, by Dale and
Naomi Lowe, it is noted that this cemetery may also be known as the Peninsula Cemetery or Old Beeler's Station
Cemetery (not to be confused with the "Old" section of the Beeler's Station Cemetery which is located behind the
Christian Church on Rt. 250).   The name of Foster Cemetery is used because the land the cemetery is on was
originally the farm belonging to James Foster, who, in 1826, came to Marshall County and established the Beeler's
Station Christian Church.

The cemetery is located on private property, in a grove of trees, about 1 mile south of Rt 250 on Middle Grave Creek
Road.   The cemetery is not cared for and several of the markers are down and/or broken, and most are weather-worn
and difficult to read.  It appears that some of the markers are missing.                   Photographs of the cemetery.

This cemetery was first read April 21, 1987 by Dale and Naomi Lowe.    Naomi Lowe Hupp kindly gave us a copy of
their readings as a guide.   On May 12, 1999, Beverly and I re-read the cemetery adding 14 new individuals to the
Lowe's list.
