John Tierney maintains an excellent website dedicated to the history of  the 62nd New York State Volunteers, Company I, Anderson Zouaves. He recently published an article in his newspaper, - Newspaper of the Anderson Battalion, Australia, which profiles 4 men who lived in both Hague and Ticonderoga as they grew up together prior to the Civil War.

Nelson Dolbeck, Moses Beaudry, Henry Osteyee, and Francis Neddo all lived in Hague at some point prior to joining the Anderson Zouaves. John Tierney discusses their service records and family relationships throughout the article. (Francis' sister, Juliette married Moses Beaudry's brother, Charles.)

Please visit John's site for more details on the history of the Anderson Zouaves.
