Town of Hague Cemeteries

The following was transcribed from a list provided by the Warren County Archives Center (County Historian's Room):

TOWN OF HAGUE CEMETERIES

  1. DODD HILL -- Located on R 9N, south of Hague, about one mile north of former golf course on the west side of the road; down the hill beyond the white house on left, at corner of Lake Forest Road. Rough approach.

  2. HAGUE -- Located on R 8, west of Hague, at junction of County Road 33. Visible, can't miss it.

  3. WARDSBORO -- Turn left before crossing Fly Brook then keep right ahead about 2 miles. Drive slowly as the road isn't smooth. Also on the Bolton map.

  4. WEST HAGUE -- Abandoned cemetery which formerly had many stones, only one remains visible, John West, d. 1815. Site is a pasture, overgrown, and out-of-the-way.

  5. DAVIS -- Located on R 9N, north side of Tongue Mountain, on right side coming down just before you reach the first house. One stone, "Jimmie" the Rattlesnake hunter, and he didn't get them all!

  6. Internments believed near Leo Wells property, in West Hague, not shown on map.

Inscriptions available for Dodd Hill, Hague, Northwest Bay in Bolton, and Wardsboro.
